My Story

My mother-in law passed away after a long illness. She always wanted to be buried in a plain, simple pine box casket. She thought traditional caskets were a large expense and much too fancy a casket for the short time it is viewed. The funeral home did not offer the option of a pine casket. Because I have woodworking skills and thought so much of my mother in-law, I decided to build her a custom, handcrafted pine casket. It was such a rewarding experience and one I will not soon forget. That one pine casket inspired me to create Dust to Dust Pine Caskets, a company that provides a personal, beautiful and an affordable alternative to traditional caskets. A simple, yet elegant alternative to expensive and overpriced caskets.

I remember going with my dad to the funeral home to pick out his casket. He made all the arrangements before his death one year later. It was much easier on my family to have his funeral just the way he wanted.
